Isabel was born in 1898, she was of Scottish descent and a prolific collector of recipes throughout her life and during her many travels all over the world. She loved to cook for her family especially on Christmas Day, how we miss her famous Shortbread, Roast Turkey with gravy, Ham, Crusty Baked Potatoes finished off with Plum Pudding Cream and Ice Cream (complete with hidden silver coins) then Christmas Cake wrapped to take home for Boxing Day.
This website is a tribute to our much loved Isabel and her 1000’s of wonderful recipes kept in a shoebox which were handed down to her grandchildren after she left us in 1981.
